Warranty Conditions

CONTENT OF THE WARRANTY

SEM is responsible towards the Customer, consumer in accordance with law, for any Non-conformity fault or defect of the Products, becoming apparent at the moment of delivery or, in any case, within a maximum of 24 months from the date of Delivery.
If the Product should prove faulty or damaged, the Customer under penalty of expiration will be able to make a complaint within 8 days from the date of delivery of the Product (or from the discovery of the fault/defect), sending a request to SEM via email at the e-mail address assistenza@sem-motobike.com.
After examining the Product, also through its own commercial Network, SEM will propose to the Customer possible solutions to the encountered problem. The repair or replacement of the Products are carried out:
•  At no cost for the Customer;
•  Within a reasonable period of time from the moment in which SEM has received the Non-conformity or Non-Warranty complaint;
•  Without remarkable inconveniences for the Customer, taking into account the nature of the Product and the purpose for which the Customer wanted the Product.
The price reduction is proportional to the reduction of the value of the Product received by the Customer with respect to the value which it would have possessed if it had been compliant.

ACTIVATION OF THE WARRANTY

Its Product is covered by warranty from original faults/defects starting from the moment in which it is delivered to You.

WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF REQUEST OF INTERVENTION UNDER WARRANTY

In the case in which, during the period of validity of warranty, the Product needs of an extraordinary repair intervention and/or replacement dependent on original faults/defects, we advise You to refer immediately to the SEM Concessionaire where you bought the Product, describing the problem which occurred and letting them examine the vehicle.
If the operation is made necessary by the occurrence of original faults/defects, the request of intervention under warranty can be activated.
In any case, the Customer is obliged to return the Product with shipping by courier at the registered office of the Manufacturer:

Shipping costs for the return under Warranty of the Product by courier are borne by the Customer.
The Manufacturer does not will not answer in any way for damages,robberies or losses of Products returned with uninsured shipping.

CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY

EXCLUSION
The Warranty is excluded in the following cases :
•  Deterioration deriving from the failure to respect periodic maintenance expenses prescribed by SEM; 
•  Repairs performed with spare parts not in compliance with the original or alteration with additional non-envisaged components; 
•  Faults/defects of Products for which the periodic maintenance plan has not been respected and for which all servicing have not been stamped; 
•  Faults/defects of Products used for competitions, rentals or burdensome off-road or accidented  uses.

Consumables and parts subject to wear :
The warranty does not cover wear and normal deterioration from use of the Product for the following parts:
•  Engine transmission chain;
•  Brake pads and discs;
•  Tyres;
•  Transmission and drive cables;
•  Tubes and all other rubber parts;
•  Bearings;
•  Transmission chain and gears;
•  Lubricants, oils and grease.

The Warranty does not cover maintenance, servicing and/or revision costs, nor the cost of the spare parts and/or consumption parts necessary for these operations.
The Warranty does not cover the expenses following the request for Warranty such as: additional costs for communications, possible board and lodging, nor other connected expenses or benefits, such as compensations for the lost time, commercial losses, rental expenses of a replacement vehicle, transport expenses, etc.

 

LIMITATIONS
With reference to the saddle and plastics, the Warranty is limited to 6 months.
Important notes for validity of the warranty:
•  The warranty booklet must be carefully kept and presented to the official SEM dealer every time the vehicle is brought in for service;
•  The service coupons must be filled in by the dealer that serviced the vehicle;
•  The warranty may be transferred to subsequent owners until its expiry;
•  In the event of change of ownership, use the dedicated coupon included in the warranty booklet;
•  The manufacturer reserves the right to make modifications and/or improvements to all its models without any obligation to make such modifications on vehicles already in circulation.
